Wole Soyinka was born on July 13, 1934, in Nigeria and educated in England. In 1986, the playwright and political activist became the first African to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature. He dedicated his Nobel acceptance speech to Nelson Mandela.
DR. TUNDE BAKARE
Tunde Bakare is a Nigerian Prophetic-Apostolic pastor. He has received national and international attention for his televangelism, which has sometimes been critical of the Nigerian government.

Professor Itse Sagay, a distinguished legal scholar, Professor of Law and human rights activist is the former Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Benin, a constitutional law expert and Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Niyi Osundare is a prolific poet, dramatist and literary critic. He gained degrees at the University of Ibadan, the University of Leeds and York University, Canada.

Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa (born 21 August 1936) is a left-wing Nigerian politician who was elected Governor of Kaduna State, Nigeria during the Nigerian Second Republic, holding office from October 1979 to June 1981

Priscillia Kuye is the first female president of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA. She is a thorough-bred professional lawyer, nationalist and humanist, who has offered tremendous service to mankind through her active involvement in various professional bodies nationally and globally.
BAR. FEMI ABORISADE
Human rights activist and lawyer, Comrade Femi Aborisade, was a leading figure in the pro-democracy movement in the early nineties and was the National Secretary of the Joint Action Committee of Nigeria (JACON), which organized and unified Nigerians’ resistance to the military. In 1994, along with Chief Gani Fawehinmi SAN, he helped form the National Conscience Party.
DR. JOE OKEI-ODUMAKIN
Josephine “Joe” Obiajulu Okei-Odumakin is a Nigerian women’s rights activist. She is the president of the rights groups “Women Arise for Change Initiative” and the”Campaign for Democracy”. Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin traversed courageously where men fear to tread. She remained consistent without minding the hazards to her person in a society where critical voices are loathed by unjust system which rewards the crook and punishes the just. Dr. Joe was born in Zaria on July 4, she grew up in Ilorin and started her schooling at St. Barnabas Primary School, Ilorin where she obtained the first school leaving certificate. She thereafter moved to Queen Elizabeth Secondary School, Ilorin where she passed her West Africa School Certificate. She pursued her A’ levels at the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State Polytechnic.
